The crowd cheered as Jesus rode into Jerusalem fulfilling prophecy and giving people the hope they were watching for. It was the day Jesus was honored as a King. The people cried out, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” Hosanna means “Save Us.” It was the day that Jesus showed his authority over the merchants abd money changers in the temple. It was the day he healed the blind and lame and heard people praise him. It was the day the Pharisees (religous leaders) decided Jesus needed to die. That was all before the cheering stopped. The people wanted their immediate plans fulfilled – Jesus was working out His eternal plans.
Come to Rockwell Church this Palm Sunday as we remember what Jesus endured to redeem us from our sin and give us abundant and eternal life. Be encouraged to keep praising Jesus and following his agenda and timeframe in our lives. A great Sunday to worship and have Communion together – who will you bring with you?
We meet at 10:15am Sundays at 93 Midway Drive in Virginia, MN. Arrive early for kids and adult Sunday School at 9:00am.
