Jane Eileen Johnson, 79, of Virginia, Minn., passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024, at Waterview Pines in Virginia.
Jane was born March 9, 1944, to Magnus and Helen (Edblom) Johnson in Virginia, Minn. She attended Virginia public school. In the early 1960’s she moved to California for several years. After returning to Virginia, she began work at Virginia Regional Medical Center/Essentia. She retired in 2009 after 42 years of employment. One of her greatest joys was adopting/fostering dogs from the animal shelter. Jane was an active member of Rockwell Church in Virginia, Minn.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Katherine Johnson of Ventura, California; nephews: Bruce Johnson, Duane Johnson, Michael Johnson, and their families; nieces: Brenda Slattery, Crystal Benyo, and their families; as well as special cousins, extended family, and many wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Robert (Audrey) Johnson and Arnold Johnson; and niece Gayle Johnson.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Rockwell Church in Virginia, Minn. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
