This Sunday, we observe the ordinance of communion, as we do every month at Rockwell Church. The communion passage we use most often ends with, “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes,” found in 1 Corinthians 11:26 (NIV). There are a lot of differing ideas of how Bible prophecy plays out, but every Christ-follower agrees that Jesus is coming back. The Old and New Testaments refer to the day Jesus returns as “The Day of the Lord.”
While there are many passages describing this great and terrible day (depending on if you are following or rejecting Christ) throughout Scripture, we will look at the prophecies in the short but powerful book of Zephaniah. Come to Rockwell Church this Sunday at 10:15am to be encouraged to live your lives as if the Day of the Lord was coming soon and you are safe and secure in Jesus.
