We are looking at the “Full Armor of God” passage from Ephesians 6. The soldier’s belt helped keep his loose clothes strapped securely to his body so they would not get in the way during the battle. It is called the belt of truth. Jesus says He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). The Christian who is secure in the truth will be able to stay standing. While Satan knows that we are protected by Christ, he also knows that he can distract us or even trip us up with lies and counterfeits. Come to Rockwell Church this Sunday to be encouraged that the truth that holds us together and keeps us from falling for those lies is the Word of God, rightly applied.
